The latest information about school and our community

    Dear Families and Friends,

The half-term break has now arrived, and we have a brief time to pause and reflect on the first two months of 2025. We are also thinking ahead to the run-up to Easter.

Thank you to all who came to our online safety meeting; we covered some very important issues. The feedback has been very positive, and it has been suggested that we run it again for those who could not make it. If this is something you would like, please let us know.

Our PTA have some more exciting plans, including a quiz night for parents and guests on Friday 29th March. St Bartholomew's church will be hosting this with us, so put the date in your diary and look out for the information coming in a few days' time. Please come along to The Back Bull at 6pm on Thursday 6th March for our next PTA meeting.

When we return, we will be celebrating the annual World Book Day in school. Reading is such an important skill, as well as the gateway to a valuable aspect of life. There is no expectation that the children dress up, but they are very welcome to do so. We would love every child to bring in a book that they either love, or have just read. Our Reading Ambassadors and staff will be creating other ideas to share on the day. There will also be a competition for the children to enjoy, so Thursday 6th March is another date for your diary.

Many of us will be enjoying tasty pancakes next week (Shrove Tuesday) as, this year, Lent begins on Wednesday 5th March. As Easter appears over the horizon, Lent is a time to consider all that God has given up for us in Jesus. We will be spending some time thinking about this next week.

Enjoy the rest of your break, and see you on Monday 3rd March.

    Yours sincerely,

Mr. Restall & The St Bart's Team
