Dear Families and Friends,
A short, refreshing break has re-energised us for the busy-ness of the term ahead, and we have begun November at full-throttle. We started the week exploring the story of Queen Esther. If you don't know it, it's about a woman who was in the right place at the right time, in very difficult circumstances. She was very courageous when speaking up for those in a vulnerable situation, at great potential cost to herself. Yet, trusting in God, she took action and prevented a great travesty of justice. Justice is something that the God of the Bible cares deeply about, and it is something we will be exploring more in the coming months.
On Wednesday, our PTA met to finalise plans for the coming Christmas Fayre on Friday 6th December. It is going to be such an exciting day, beginning just after 3pm, and will include our Christmas Windows unveiling, and a special visit from Santa! Get the date in your diaries and, if you can help, that would be fabulous.
To help with donations, we are holding a non-uniform day on Friday 22nd November. More info will follow in the coming days.
Next Friday, is the BBC's Children In Need appeal. This is something we support each year, as it matches our aim of children helping children. This year, we are having an "Oops, I'm not quite ready" day, where the children may come to school, dressed half in their uniform and half in their pyjamas! You can decide the combinations... The children should bring in a £1 donation too. Thank you.
Finally, the photos that we share in this weekly email are only a sample of the week's activities. Visit our Class Pages for extra details.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Restall & The St Bart's Team
