Reading 
The children in Class 1 will have three weekly reading sessions with a school adult. The book they have shared will then be uploaded online every Friday. We encourage you to read with your children as much as possible as this helps them develop self-confidence and practise recognising the words and sounds taught during our daily phonics lessons.

The children will also bring home a library book each Wednesday. This is a book which they have chosen, and we encourage you to read it together. Please return it on a Wednesday so it can be swapped for a new one.

Maths
Each week, the children will be given a sheet of questions on Friday. We ask that the children have a go at the questions and return them by the following Thursday.

Homework sheets for maths are sent home each week for completion. Copies can be downloaded below.
