Mental Health and Wellbeing

1 in 6 children and young people have a diagnosable mental health problem, and many continue to have these problems into adulthood. At St Bart's, we want to help you and your child have good mental health and wellbeing.


We all have mental health, just like we have physical health. Like physical health, sometimes we can feel great and sometimes we don’t. This page has information on how to look after your child’s mental health and wellbeing, as well as your own. There is also information about who you can contact if you have any concerns or worries about your child’s mental health.

For any concerns about your child’s physical or mental health, talk to your GP. They will be able to reassure you and provide advice on how to support your child.

We know nothing is more important to you than your child’s health and wellbeing and we understand how worrying it can be if your child is unwell.
