Dear Families and Friends,
Parents' Evenings form an essential part of the annual school calendar, as teachers and parents have a short time together to discuss how each and every child is getting on. Thank you to everyone who came along this week. We know that 10 minutes doesn't always seem long enough, so we are always available to discuss things further if need be. As you will know, we used our new website booking system for the first time, and there appeared to be a couple of hiccups for some of you. If you had an issue, such as a double booking or having a confirmed booking which had not been processed properly, we would be extremely grateful if you would send your email confirmation or screenshot to our office email address. This means that we can go back to the system provider, and make sure that any issue is fixed before our next meetings in spring. Thank you.
Friday's non-uniform day was great fun. Thank you for your generous donations to our Christmas Fayre. Raffle tickets have also gone home this week. If you buy or sell any, please send the money and stubs back to school as soon as possible. If you have any spares, these should also be returned so that others may buy them. Extra tickets are available from our school office. It is going to be a great evening on Friday 6th December, so make sure you're free and stay on Santa's nice list!
In school, Christmas performance rehearsals are well underway. Dates for these are on our website calendar. They are:
We do not usually ticket or charge for these Christmas nativities, but a small donation on the day would be appreciated, to help cover the cost of staging them. Be prepared to be thoroughly entertained by the children!
On the final Thursday of term, we will hold our Christmas Service at St Bartholomew's Church. You are very welcome to join us for this, and note that pick-up will be from the church doors at the end of the day.
As Advent approaches, and the countdown to Christmas truly begins, we will be using some time to reflect and prepare. Christmas can be a very busy time, with a mixture of feelings for everyone. As a school family, we want to support you in both the good and more difficult times, so please visit the parents' section of our website for an increasing number of resources. It's also a good place to make some suggestions, to help us improve our offer to your children.
I trust that you have a restful remainder of the weekend.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Restall & The St Bart's Team
